Getting Lippy with Cosmetics a la Carte

June 3, 2014

I’ve recently come across a brand that I had never heard of before (even though they have been around for 40 years and are loved by many) and I’ve been trying a some items out over the past few weeks and I have to say “I like what I’ve seen and used”.

Today I have two lipsticks from Cosmetics a la Carte (yes I’m addicted) that I think are to die for and just so absolutely beautiful that I have to share them.

Cosmetics a la Carte

Matte Velvet Lipstick (£23) in the new shade Peony – This is the matte lipstick that everyone dreams of. It’s rich in colour and lasts for hours (and I mean hours – even with eating and drinking), it leaves your lips feeling super nourished and smooth (which isn’t common for this type of lipstick).

I’m really taken away with how moisturised my lips feel when I wear this. It seems like with each hour that passes your lips become softer, smoother and even more supple. I just LOVE THIS!

This is the first ‘purple’ lipstick I have ever tried and I think it is definitely the perfect one for stepping out of my comfort zone with.

Cosmetics a la Carte

Moisture Plus Lipstick (£23) in the shade Neon – Oh my goodness this packs a punch in both the colour and moisture departments.

It creamy, moisturising and Vitamin E enriched formula leaves you lips looking glossy, sumptuous and kissable.

They both come in beautiful mirror finished silver packaging that look extremely classy and expensive. They look beautiful standing free on your dresser and make a statement when pulled out of your makeup bag/handbag.

They both have AMAZING colour payoff and with just one swipe look wonderful. Photo taken in the sun.
