There’s a new makeup brand in town which goes by the name of Makeup Revolution and what a revolution it is!
Makeup Revolution launched last month and they have already caused a stir among beauty bloggers and with over 300 products starting from as little as £1 I think you can see why.
Don’t let the price fool you, Makeup Revolution pride themselves on delivering performance and quality in every product, just at ‘revolutionary’ prices. Delivery within the UK is £2.95 or free on orders over £30 and better yet, they also deliver internationally so everybody can get to try their products.
Makeup Revolution were kind enough to send me some of their products to try and and today I want to talk about their Matte Brights Eyeshadow Palette.
Although some people may be put off by bright eyeshadows, I think they can look really great in spring and summer and be used to give a great pop to the eyes.
For just £4, like all of their eyeshadow palettes (accept the Awesome 100 Eyeshadow Collection – £12) these are seriously amazing value but also really great quality whether your just starting out with makeup or if your a professional Makeup Artist.
The Matte Brights Eyeshadow Palette has 12 really good colours to create a huge variety of looks. Each shadow has a really good pigment and colour payoff. They are fairly dry to the touch but that doesn’t seem to make them look chalky on the eye, neither does it mean the powders falls off the eye.
I find the best way (for the brightest colour) is to use a damp brush when applying the shadow – this just makes the colours look the same as they do when in the palette. The colour sticks all day when using a primer but I find they do start to fade after about 6 hours if put on top of nothing. (6 hours is still a really good amount of time though).
Would I buy more eyeshadow palettes? Eeeer…YES!! I think they are great for playing around with colour. This one in particular will be coming in very handy around Halloween time for tutorials 🙂
Have you tried anything from Makeup Revolution yet?
