Amelia is 3 months old today but has been part of our lives for 1 whole year! I know I said this last time but I feel like we have known her forever. I am amazed by how much she has changed in such a little a time. She is such a sweet baby girl and we love her more and more every day.

health

Amelia had her second lot of vaccinations yesterday and did so much better than last time. I admit she did have a little cry which only lasted 10 seconds. She now weighs 12lbs 4oz so in the last 7 weeks she has gained 3lbs 2oz which is really great. She is getting more alert each day and staying awake awake for longer periods of time. Amelia is also getting longer, she has outgrown lots of her clothes in length. I think she will be tall when she is older.

Talking

We have ourselves a little talking machine. In the last few weeks Amelia has started to coo and agoo so much more than she has before  Some of her favourite sounds so far are: argh (like a pirate), no, cooo, ooooh, agoo . Her voice is so cute and really girly.

Nursing

Breastfeeding is still going wonderfully. Our best moments are still those when she is nursing, like the contented smile she gives me when she has finished or when she stops for a short while to coo at me and the times she smacks her lips together at me then attacks my boobs with such gusto and excitement. I’m so happy I decided to exclusively breastfeed, I love having that quiet time to snuggle with her and feed her.

Sleep

Amelia sleeps so well. She still wakes once in the night for a feed but will happily sleep for the rest of the night. During the day she sleeps for 3 hour intervals with breaks of being awake for around 4 hours.

Bath Time

In the last week or so Amelia has decided she doesn’t like bath time and will scream the house down down until she is dry, dressed and boob in face.

personality

Amelia has started to laugh like crazy…she will just giggling at everything and everyone.

New Things

– Amelia has started chewing on her hands hands a lot, she will have a stare down with her hand then ram it in her mouth and munch…it’s such a cute thing to watch.
– She wrinkles her nose up when she laughs.
– She is getting extremely curious about her surroundings and whats happening around her so much so that she wants to sit up a lot of the time and look around.
