Amelia’s 1st Birthday

Before I start, I just want to let you know that this post is going to be made up of mostly photos of food. Unfortunately, with everything going on, I didn’t get much of a chance to take the photos that I had wanted to.

The morning of Amelia’s party was as you can imagine, a little frantic, what will all the food preparation, decorating, last minute cleaning and popping out to the store for something I had forgotten. Lucky while out at the store Amelia fell sleep and we managed to put her in her bed when we got back home so at least I could rest easy knowing she’d had a nap.

I wanted to do something a little fun for the adults so I put together a little game called ‘Finish The Nursery Rhyme‘ where I had 15 nursery rhymes which were incomplete and they had to fill in the blanks. It was great fun a really good way to lighten the mood of everyone meeting each other for the first time.

We decided to hold off on opening gifts till everyone had left so not to overwhelm Amelia.
