Hi my lovelies.
Its Monthly favourites time again…yey!!! Today I’m covering makeup, skincare, fragrance, two books, and also my favourite person from the month again.
Makeup
I have a few makeup favourites this month, starting with the Tarte Amazon Escape Amazonian Clay Eye & Cheek Palette. It’s easy to see why this is in my favourites! How beautiful is this palette…?!..ahh I am so in love with this.
The next is the NARS Brow Perfector in the colour Caucase. I find this wonderful for giving the right amount of colour and definition to my brows. A real ‘must try’ if you like grooming your brows.
Also loving the Clinique Chubbystick in Curvy Candy. It glides on so smoothly and looks beautiful on the lips. It’s the perfect summer pink.
Lastly I have the NV Chunky Crayons for eyes in Mermaid and Ingot. I think these two complement each other so wonderfully and I can’t get over how smooth and soft they are. So easy to apply and they look beautiful.
I have full blog posts coming soon for each of these.
Skincare
Three skincare products I’ve been loving this month are the Michael Todd True Organics Honey Oat Cleanser. Just love the deep clean feeling it gives and how soft and good mu skin looks after using it (blog post on it here).
Next is the Elemis Jasmine & Rose Milk Bath, it’s just perfect for relaxing and unwinding in the bath after a long day. It smells amazing and makes your skin feel baby soft too (blog post on it here).
Then there is the Clinique Superdefense SPF20 Age Defense Eye Cream. Oh my GAWD I am crazy about this stuff. I still can’t quite get over how wonderfully it goes under foundation and brightens the eyes area up so well (blog post on it here).
Frangrance
My fragrance of the month has to be Givenchy Dahlia Noir. Such a beautiful scent and so perfect for this time of year. Love its delicate florally freshness. Full blog post coming soon.
Books
This month I have been a crazy lady, reading like mad and super-fast which has allowed me to read two full books (your proud of me right!). The books are:
The Accident By CL Taylor – Sue Jackson has the perfect family, but when her teenage daughter Charlotte deliberately steps out in front of a bus and ends up in a coma she is forced to face a very dark reality. Sue can’t believe that Charlotte would try to kill herself so she retraces her daughter’s steps and ends up finding a horrifying entry in her daughter’s diary: “keeping this secret is killing me”.
This is such a brilliant book for all the crime/thriller (and even if you’re not). You won’t be able to help feeling stuck on the edge of your seat and you’ll be left wanting more each time you put the book down.
Peach Blossom Pavilion By Mingmei Yip – Aged just 13 Xiang Xiang loses her father who is executed after being falsely accused of rape and murder. Her mother then retreats into a Buddhist nunnery leaving her all alone. She is tricked into entering the Peach Blossom Pavilion where she is given a new name: Bao Lan, meaning Precious Orchid.
We follow the story as she is trained in the fine arts of womanhood, studying music, literature, painting and most importantly, the seduction and pleasuring of men and we read on as she becomes the one China’s most successful courtesans.
You will not want to put this book down. I love the twists in the story and how Xiang Xiang is determined to avenge her parents.
Person
My fave person this month has got to be Ruth Crilly (aka: A Model Recommends). I’ve loved keeping up with her new videos and blog posts. Didn’t she look just gorgeous at the Cannes Film Festival…
