Mother’s Day with Selfridges: Fruit Defendu by Terry de Gunzburg & In-store Bottle Engraving

Mother’s Day is just two days away but that still gives you plenty of time to find the perfect gift.

Selfridges has a wonderful array of gifts from Skincare and Fragrances to Chocolates and Flowers and everything in between. I could spend hours looking over all of the beautiful items they sell.

As a mother of two I think it’s fully in my right to get excited about Mother’s Day and all the lovely items that Selfridges has to offer and My choice for this year would definitely be a fragrance and it just so happens that the stunning people at Selfridges scent me one for the occasion.

Fruit Defendu is one of the two perfumes in the second Haute Perfumery Collection by TERRY de GUNZBURG.

“An irresistible blend of Bergamot, Pineapple, Mango Turkish Rose, Pink Peppercorns, Rosewood and White Musk”

This is right up my street. I love sweeter fragrances and I am LOVE with the melon in this (the first scent to hit your nose). Don’t worry when I say it’s sweet, it’s not sickly at all and to me it’s like a more sophisticated adult version of one of my old favourites. It so fresh and just perfect for spring and summer (although I’d happily wear it all year round)

The scent has an extremely good payoff – 1 spray rubbed between my wrists and one spray either side of my neck and I can still smell it 9 hours after putting it on.

How spectacular does this bottle look?

Selfridges have an in-store engraving service available on perfume bottles of 100ml or more so why not get a special message put on for your mum. I assure you she’ll be thrilled with it 🙂
