Oh my goodness guys, can you believe it’s nearly Christmas? Well okay, we have a little while left, but it isn’t stopping this weather from playing havoc is it?
As it’s been extra chilly in the past week I thought it was about time I put together my Winter Essentials guide. So let’s jump right on in with wooly hats.
Starting at the top with a thickly knitted wooly hat to not only keep the head warm but also stop the hair from blowing around where ever it wants to. Top Shop has some great hats in at the moment. Lots of cable knits and hand knits Some with one pompom, others with two. they even have some with sparkly bits on. My choice is this fairly neutral two-tone number for £14. I like the chunky knit and the grey will go with pretty much everything in my wardrobe.
Now we’ll go to the other end and talk boots. There are a few things I look for when I buy boots. 1. they keep my feet and lower legs warm and 2. they have a good grip so I don’t slip and slide on wet leaves or ice. I have recently picked up these as they fit the bill for all my needs. I’ve got a separate post on them if you’re interested in having a read.
I love a good coat in the winter, something warm and cozy so I feel like I’m being hugged by it. I tend to spend a bit more on a really decent coat as the quality needs to be there. I don’t want to be feeling any breeze creeping inside. For this year’s coat, I’ve been looking on Lyst and have seen some which are right up my street and that I think would fit the bill perfectly. This one definitely looks super snuggly.
Scarves are something I have way too many of yet still don’t stop myself from buying more. I pretty much wear them all year round. I like thick wooly ones, lightweight ones, patterned ones. You name it, I probably have it. I always head to Marks and Spencer to start my scarf buying journey. They have a great selection and so many different styles. Remember Scarves also make great gifts. I know someone who would love this cashmere one.
I’d love to know what your winter essentials are. Leave a comment and let me know.
