I’m not usually one to powder my foundation or my face. I like a dewy look and as I don’t really have oiling skin I don’t find that I need to powder. With that said, I have become a little obsessed with one powder in general.
Obviously as I’m not oily I can’t really comment on how well it works to hold back the shine and oil but from reading what other blogger have said this seems to be a staple Holy Grail product that is considered better than many other brands.
The powder is translucent which is wonderful for whatever skin colour you have and I love that because it doesn’t have any colour it doesn’t change the colour your foundation (don’t you just hate that?) I also really like that my skin always looks and feel super smooth and peachy soft when I use it.
As I mentioned before, I’ve become a little obsessed with The Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot and I think I’ve only just realised why I like it so much. With most other powders I find they take away the beautiful dewy look that I really like in my foundation, however the One Heck of a Blot doesn’t. Yes it does take some of the dew away but rather than making my skin look matt it takes it to a really pretty silk finish which I’m kind of digging.
It also gives foundation that little bit extra staying power which is awesome and I think for people with oily skin would really benefit from it, there’s nothing worse than your foundation slipping around on your face while you’re out on a date.
As with all the Soap and Glory products that packaging is really cute and convenient, it’s got a magnetic closer just like the Love At First Blush, it has a really nice sized mirror and comes with one of those little pressed powder puff which I don’t use as I find it can go on a little heavy with it. Instead I like to use a big (the bigger the better) fluffy powder brush and it just makes the skin look ever so flawless.
You can buy the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot from Boots for £12.
