The body scrub edit

August 12, 2015

Over the past year on my blog you may have noticed my love for body scrubs. I seem to have at least 10 at any one time so I thought it would be a nice idea to do a post all about some of my favourite body scrubs.

NEOM’s Great Day Wild Mint and Mandarin Body Scrub

First up is my most luxurious of body scrubs. It’s one of my absolute must haves and really it is hard to tell why.
Let me start with the scent. It is one of those ‘ahhh’ scents that has you saying oh my god every time you smell it.

The mint and mandarin combo is so uplifting and such a feel good scent which leaves me feeling like I can accomplish almost anything in the day.

I’m a sucker for body scrubs that stay in place when using them and the consistency as well as texture is spot on with the NEOM scrub. The sugar based scrub gently but very efficiently exfoliates the skin, removing any dry skin while also giving a super moisture boost with added Vitamin E, Safflower & Jojoba Oils. Skin is left feeling and looking silky smooth and glowing for the day ahead.

Rose Mira Tangerine and Spice Sugar Scrub

Rosemira’s Tangerine and Spice Dry Sugar Body Scrub is a very different scrub to the NEOM. I think it would be classed as a dry scrub as it literally is like a pot of sugar with no oil or creaminess in with it although it does Organic Argan oil blended into the sugar base.

This scrub is a pretty strong exfoliator which I tend to use on my feet and elbows as it makes them feel baby soft but is a little too hard to my main body skin.

The scent is really warm and satisfying with essential oils of Tangerine and Cinnamon. It’s a lovely scent to have in the shower in the cooler months.

Elemis Frangipani Monoi Salt Glow

I love the added benefits that you get from a salt scrub, from flushing out toxins to giving a dose of skin loving minerals.

The fairly think scrub stays on the skin while in the shower and melts into the skin as it buffs away dead skin cells. Coconut and Monoi Oils leave the skin feeling super nourished after using it.

The Elemis Frangipani Monoi Salt Glow smells beautifully floral and in my opinion creates the per-fect base for any perfume.

Dirty Works Buttery Salt Scrub

A creamy scrub that gives a good buff to the skin with sea salt, pumice & peach stone granules while moisturising shea butter intensively nourishes the skin leaving you feeling silky smooth. It’s light and gentle enough to use all over the body.

This scrub is the sweetest smelling of them all. With Jasmine being one of the main scents it lifts your spirts and leaves a beautiful scent on the skin. It’s utterly divine.

SenSpa Detox Body Scrub

When in need of a good deep cleanse to my body this is always the scrub that I reach for. A mixture of Seaweed, Dead Sea Salt and Pumice detox the skin and just like the Elemis scrub, gives the skin some much needed minerals like chloride, magnesium, sodium, calcium and potassium.

The SenSpa scrub is amazing to use after a long workout and your muscles are feeling achy. All the goodness from the minerals and seaweed relax and sooth. It just feels oh so good! My skin always feels so fresh after I use this scrub. It’s much like the feeling you get after having using bath salts.

Now for that scent.. Think citrus, herbal and floral all in one. Everything about it is deep and woody yet sweet and tangy with hints of tea tree and rosemary. It honestly smells so good and makes you feel like you’re at a spa.
