Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation and Optical Blurring brush

April 15, 2014

I’m usually one to find a foundation I like and stick with it but I’ve recently been branching out and trying lots of different ones I have to say that I now have quite a few favourites.

Today I’m talking about the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation

The foundation comes in a range of 18 colours so you’ll always find a good or even perfect colour match for your skin. It’s a very buildable medium coverage foundation but has a super lightweight texture and feel.

The packaging is brilliant – I think foundations should always come with a pump top, it’s just so much cleaner and give so much less wasted product and is also very practical. The tall bottle is finished with a silver top looks classy and a lot more expensive than it really is.

I love the feel of the foundation on my skin. You can really see why it’s called ‘Naked Skin’. Urban Decay say it’s a demi-matte finish foundation, I find it looks very silky and a little dewy on my skin but that’s the look I like so I’m happy about it.

It blends seamlessly into the skin to give a wonderfully natural (but better) finish.

The Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation ingredients also have some really great benefits as seen below:

Matrixyl 3000 – Anti-wrinkle and lifting peptides restore and maintain skin’s youthful appearance while increasing elasticity.
Litchiderm (derived from lychee fruit) – Protects the skin from dehydration, oxidative stress and accelerated aging, resulting in a brighter, more radiant complexion.
Green Tea & Vitamin E – These anti-oxidants neutralize free-radicals and promote collagen production for smooth and supple skin.
Sodium Hyaluronate – Holds and attracts water for optimal hydration, circulation and nutrient absorption, making skin smooth, soft and youthful.

Urban Decay say that for the most professional finish the Naked Skin Foundation should be applied with their Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush which has been designed specifically for Naked Skin, with a densely packed shape the brush distributes makeup evenly and perfectly buffs out for a soft-focus finish.

The Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush is amazing. It’s one of the best foundation brushed I’ve ever used and I really like the shape which blends the foundation out so beautifully and flawlessly.

You can buy Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup for £27.00 and the Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush £20.00 from Debenhams, House Of Fraser and other online stores.
