Urban Decay naked smoky palette

October 13, 2015

Oh my goodness I could squeal, cry and giggle like a school girl all at the same time”. This is what I found myself saying as I bounced off the walls like an excited bunny rabbit while clutching onto the insanely gorgeous Urban Decay naked smoky palette.

I remember back in the day (when I was about 15-18) I always used to wear a dark and smoky eye so finally having a palette like the Urban Decay naked smoky palette that can deliver so many smoky eyes is a complete and utter aaaaahhhhhh (in a high pitched voice like an opera singer).

Anyway, you don’t want to hear me banging on and on do you? Let’s just talk about this beauty.

The Urban Decay naked smoky palette has 12 shades which are all perfect for creating numerous smoky eyes. 9 of these shades are BRAND SPANKING NEW which I think is amazing to be honest. Got to love new eyeshadow shades right? For those interested, the shades from left to right are:

High – champagne shimmer w/micro-glitter
Dirtysweet – medium bronze
Radar – metallic taupe w/iridescent micro-glitter
Armor – metallic silver-taupe w/tonal sparkle
Slanted – light metallic grey
Dagger – medium charcoal w/micro-shimmer
Black Market – jet-black satin
Smolder – deep plum-taupe
Password – cool taupe matte
Whiskey – rich brown matte
Combust – soft pink-taupe
Thirteen – light beige satin

One thing I have always liked (or rather loved) so much about Urban Decay eye shadows is the minimal fallout on pretty much every shade. I’m sure we all know how annoying it can be when your smoky eye ends up on your cheeks!

Just like the other Urban Decay palette and eye shadows these are all super creamy and pigmented. They’re easy to blend and they last so long on the eyes. I’ve had them on for up to 13 hours and they’ve looked just as great at the end of the night as they did when I first applied them.

As always, Urban Decay include a really good brush, this time being dual ended which make the palette really portable as you don’t really need to carry any extra brushes with you (unless you want to).

Available direct from Urban Decay for £38.
