You all know I love candles; I have some really amazing ones to share today from a company I recently came across on Twitter.
“Wick & Tallow brings a bold touch of British individuality to the luxury home accessories and fragrance industry, offering our own unique take on traditional products by combining an emphatically British style with an eccentric sophistication. We take inspiration from centuries past and combine this with cutting edge design and manufacturing techniques to create time-honoured products with a contemporary twist. Each individual product is the result of exacting attention to detail, with every aspect designed in house and hand crafted in England using only the finest materials. Born out of a love for good design, great fragrances and a deep respect for heritage and character, Wick & Tallow exists to challenge the conventional and established market, bringing a youthful dynamism to the industry.”
I was recently sent some candles to try from Tom Malcolm Green the Director of Wick and Tallow and I can’t thank him enough for not only sending them but also for his suggestions on which ones to try out.
I received 3 candles in total and I love them all in different ways. Here are my thoughts:
Wick and Tallow Bergamot & Basil
This candle is very crisp and refreshing while being relaxing at the same time. I think it makes a wonderful candle for the kitchen and as well the bathroom.
Top Notes – Bergamot, grapefruit, lime, mandarin
Middle Notes – Basil, green floral notes
Base Notes – Cedarwood, sandalwood
Wick and Tallow White Fig & Vanilla
Oh I love this! If any of you know me then you’ll know how anything with Vanilla, Fig and Coconut is right up my street.
This candle is sweet and warm. It’s soothing and calming and gives you that ‘ahhh’ feeling.
Top Notes – Citrus fruits
Middle Notes – Fig, red berries, green notes
Base Notes – Vanilla, coconut, cedarwood, precious woods
Wick and Tallow Lemongrass & Neroli
Now, this is my favourite. I have recently fallen in love with the scent of Neroli and I’m so happy someone decided to put it in a candle.
I can have this candle lit at any time but I especially like it when I’m relaxing at the end of the day while reading a good book. I find it ever so calming and relaxing and it just melts away all my stress of the day and leaves me feeling happy and refreshed.
Top Notes – Neroli, bergamot, citron
Middle Notes – Lemongrass, orange blossom, petit grain
Base Notes – Cypress, cedar, musk
All Wick and Tallow candles are £35 each and all have a burn time of up to 50 hours. I love that they smell wonderful both when lit and unlit. (I don’t think there is anything worse than a candle that smells good but then doesn’t really have any scent to it once lit).
Why not follow Wick and Tallow on Facebook and Twitter to find out about sales, events and new candles.
