We woke up this morning to a frozen over car. I don’t think we are the only ones that have had this happen over the last few days and weeks, the weather seems to be coming in colder at night than it was last month and its causing problems left, right and centre!
Of course, there are things we can do to help out when winter and the infamous ‘jack frost’ are about.
Get decent tiers for winter driving conditions – I think this is one of the most important things to do! Remember, it could be a matter of life and death. The better your tiers, the more likely you’ll be able to handle your car. Not to mention, they will help you STOP when you need to.
Stock up on De-icer! –This is always a must have in our house. It can be a godsend when you need to get out quickly and don’t have time to leave your car ticking over while the ice on your windscreen melts.
Make sure you have windscreen cover!! I can’t think of how many times I heard of people’s windscreen cracking over the winter period. All you need is 1 little stone chip and you could wake up to a huge crack in the morning.
There are so many small things you can do to get a head start over winter, just check out these tips from Autoweb on the top 11 things drivers need for travelling this winter.
Please remember, if you think it’s unsafe to drive then don’t. Even if you have to get to work – your life is more important so stay safe!
